RISK ASSESSMENTS IN POOLS & SPAS

Under H&S law, risk assessments must be carried out and from these, operational procedures should be written & implemented. Let Studies In Work take this burden from your shoulders by inspecting your pool & plant and writing up or evaluating your Risk Assessments, Normal Operating procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs). Studies In Work have recently carried out the above with approximately sixty pools ranging from Spa baths, School pools, Hydrotherapy and free form pools.

DELAPIDATION SURVEYS

Many pools and plant rooms have now reached the end of their working life and are due (or commonly overdue) for refurbishment. Studies In Work will carry out an independent, unbiased survey on your behalf and provide a written report of what needs replacing, what can be repaired, and estimate the working life left in an item or process. They will also provide provisional costings for these works. Studies In Work are able to write specifications and if required, supervise the installation in its entirety.

BACTERIOLOGICAL TESTING

Studies In Work will visit your site and take samples for UKAS laboratory analysis to comply with best guidance. Whilst there they will carry out a full range of tests on your water, inspect your plant room, your COSHH files, examine your PPEs and advise where required. Test any RCDs to comply with HSG179. They will supply you with generic risk assessment, NOPs & EAPs and their new simplified water testing record. We can also monitor and record temperatures and descale/disinfect outlets to comply with L8 whilst on site.
